Hi! I’m Christina.

My breadth of skills and experiences led me to design strategy.

My love of visual storytelling called me to study animation and video. My drive to create compelling stories called me to work as a TV editor. My fascination with the interplay between design and business called me to pursue a Master’s degree in creative enterprise, and my drive to explore the world called me to do so in England. My desire to help the government better serve its country called me to work with the Federal government, and my love for designing beautiful products called me to work as a visual designer.

Over the past five years, I’ve helped solve design problems across the Federal government. I’ve helped the HHS Office of Information Security develop a new brand identity and designed a site to educate the healthcare sector on best cybersecurity practices. I’ve helped FEMA develop a series of explainer videos to make the National Flood Insurance Program more accessible to the average American. I’ve also helped redesign company sites and co-led a company group for employees interested in exploring design.

Over the course of my career, I’ve noticed patterns about the work that drives me. I enjoy diving deep into big, complicated problems, exploring the problem’s ecosystem, and understanding who they affect and why. I thrive when I have time and space to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy (to quote the great Miss Frizzle). I work best when I’m working on a curious, creative team that loves to combine work and play.
